PSY ft Snoop Dogg - HANGOVER | Single Review

After an outstanding and record breaking 2 BILLION views of the ‘Gangnam Style’ video, PSY has returned( for some reason that has yet to be explained – wasn’t he supposed to be a one-hit wonder?) with a song more annoying and terrible than his others.

It’s true, believe it or not “HANGOVER” ft Snoop Dogg makes Gangnam Style and Gentleman sound like the most artistic songs ever to be recorded. At least  those songs we’re catchy and funny and people wouldn’t want to shoot themselves in the face whenever they would come on the TV or the radio.

Ok maybe the latter of that last sentence was a lie, but “HANGOVER” really takes the biscuit. It’s just noise – noise that is instantly irritating right from the start. They’re trying to make PSY the Korean version of Lil’ Wayne, which as you can imagine doesn’t sound very nice.

What the fizzle is going on with Snoop Dizzle? Sort it out my nizzle.

And what has happened to Snoop Dogg? He has never been the greatest rapper or had amazing lyrics but this midlife crisis that he is going though (which it must be) is spiralling out of control. From changing his stage name to Snoop Lion then back to Snoop Dogg, featuring in car insurance adverts, and now making really crap music even worse with his nonsense lyrics. At least with PSY, the way to “appreciate” his “music” is to see is whole “career” as a parody act.

Overview: Obviously (hopefully) the song is not supposed to be taken seriously and people with any kind of sense will not download it or even give it a second listen so for that, the song is not applicable to get a rating. If you want to punish yourself, you can watch the video below - and be sure to tell us if you agree!

Rating: N/A

  1. Hangover is good and I like it. Your review is so biased and I will never visit this site again!

  2. Bit of a random post inbetween all the E3 posts? Can't say it's great for consistency, maybe let the trail of posts on one area finish before trying to introduce a new subject?

On the subject of content, it is obviously a song that is intended to be light-hearted and fun, I think that thw review is not a review, it's an opinion fuelled post and don't get me wrong I don't like the song, but I want a see a post reviewing it, not bashing it. The song may not be applicable to get a rating but this post is.

    1/10

  3. Reading these comments have tickled me, especially the one above^. I personally loved this review and agree with it to every extent. The song is god awful and as a reader I appreciate that you aren't afraid to slate it and review it for exactly what it is.

Each to their own but this post gets 10/10 fro me. I'm looking forward to reading more posts from this blog!
